Paruyr Sevak House-museum
The Paruyr Sevak Museum was opened in 1981, on the 10th anniversary of the great writer's death. When the decision was made to build a museum, the poet's parents were alive and lived in his private house, that is why it was decided to build the museum in the adjacent part of the house. The architect is Jim Torosyan. According to his project, the museum was supposed to have several exhibition halls, a lobby intended for events, a chapel-bell tower attached to the museum and an amphitheater, but due to the collapse of the Soviet order, the complete construction remains incomplete. And the lobby, which was built for events, now serves as a museum. The spacious garden planted by Sevak and his father's house are also a part of the museum. .
More than 1,982 fund objects are stored in the museum, of which 880 are part of the research fund. Funds include the following sections: documentary, photo-font, household. There is also a timekeeping section, which includes about 1343 items.
The main part of the exhibition hall is the mural by Sargis Muradyan, which represents the important periods of Sevak's life and work. The exhibition hall presents items from the writer's personal archive, including a desk, typewriter, pens, books, certificates, manuscripts, photographs, a couch, a grand piano, a cupboard, etc.
